'To Do' List

What skills and processes do you want to try?

  • I would like to learn how to use Dreamweaver.
  • Continue to develop my knowledge of Adobe software to create professional designs.
  • I would like to generate more hand made material to combine with digital techniques to give my designs more depth.

What would you like to improve upon?
  • I would like to be more confident when giving presentations. I want to be able to articulate my ideas and thoughts clearly and in detail whilst engaging the audience.
  • I want to improve my finishing skills so I can present my work to a professional standard.
  • I need to fully explore an idea before prematurely making design decisions that might not be the best for the brief.
  • I want to speed up my work flow to generate more material. This will give me more options to choose from when refining a design.
  • I would like to gain a better understanding of colour, colour harmonies and how to use colours to influence the viewer.
  • I want to improve how I document my work, particularly photographing the final outcome.
  • I need to be more creative with primary research. I think this will help me to think out of the box and take a different approach to my ideas and designs.

What interests you as a graphic designer that you want to learn?

Before the summer break I narrowed my interests within design down to three:
  • Branding and Identity
  • Product and Packaging
  • Editorial Design
I am still very interested in these disciplines and would like to further explore them over the next year.

I would like to gain some knowledge on how to design for the internet so I can start to think about how I can utilise a space to promote myself and my work.
